Our client in the insurance industry is seeking three Policy Administrators to join a significant project under the Canadian Retirement Project Team. This project, led by Cormie and Caralyn, will focus on the System Transfer Project, where you will play a crucial role in setting up plans and policies based on data and procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to contribute to a multi-year project, with potential for contract extension or conversion to a permanent position.
What is in it for you:
- Hourly salary of $22 to $24, based on experience.
- 3-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
- Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
- Work schedule from 8 am to 4 pm or 9 am to 5pm.
- Hybrid work: 3 office days, from Tuesday to Thursday.
Responsibilities:
- Set up plans and policies on the administrative system, ensuring high-quality and compliance with federal and provincial pension authorities.
- Create contractual documents and websites related to the policies.
- Recommend changes and updates to processes, and support development and implementation of process improvements.
- Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to close gaps and enhance team performance.
- Actively participate in team discussions, trainings, and meetings, while seeking clarity and feedback.
- Collaborate with plan design subject matter experts and other project resources to meet tight timelines on multiple request types.
- Ensure conformity with compliance and privacy guidelines, adhering strictly to timelines and service level agreements.
What you will need to succeed:
- College diploma or related business experience (Recent graduates welcome, though some work experience is preferred).
- Insurance industry experience, especially in group retirement, is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage priorities effectively in a rapidly changing environment.
- Strong mathematical aptitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (written & verbal) skills.
- Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written) to communicate with both English-speaking and French-speaking clients is an asset.
- Self-starter with initiative who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to respond to challenges and opportunities positively and productively.
