Reporting to the Controller, the Technology Support Analyst is responsible for spearheading internal IT setups, managing complex technical issues, operate our help desk, and craft data-driven reports that inform strategic decisions. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, is extremely detail-orientated, and is adept in troubleshooting and leveraging technology to enhance our organizational effectiveness. They will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing our IT infrastructure, and enhancing our technological capabilities.
Specific duties include:
- Design, configure, and maintain internal IT systems, including workstations, servers, network devices, and software applications, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Serve as the first point of contact for internal IT support, managing the help desk, and providing prompt, empathetic, and effective solutions to user issues.
- Conduct detailed analysis and troubleshooting of complex technical problems, employing advanced diagnostic tools and methodologies to resolve issues swiftly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT projects, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Champion continuous improvement by regularly evaluating IT processes and systems, identifying inefficiencies, and proposing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Contribute to the development of IT policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring compliance and promoting a culture of security and excellence.
- Organize and deliver training sessions and resources to staff, enhancing their technical skills and promoting a self-service culture within the organization.
- Develop, implement, and manage data analytics and reporting frameworks, utilizing tools to generate insightful reports that drive data-driven decision-making.
- Stay informed on the latest technology trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, ensuring our IT infrastructure remains cutting-edge and compliant.
- Participate in other projects and perform other duties, as required.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role, with a solid foundation in troubleshooting and technical problem resolution.
- Strong technical knowledge of computer software applications in the context of financial reporting, such as ERP, Office 365 suite automation using VBA-Macro, Powe Apps, Power Automate, SQL Queries, and other data applications.
- Proficient in setup, deployment, and maintenance of user accounts, licenses, and software applications within the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Access, Teams).
- Ability to provide advanced technical support, training, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal operation and productivity across all Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives, with a track record of optimizing IT processes and systems for better efficiency and performance.
- Advanced knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude and the ability to convey technical information in an accessible manner.
- Be willing to travel both domestically and internationally for work and training purposes.
- A valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s license in good standing.
