The Role
Our client is looking for an Network & Systems Administrator. This role could be well suited for either a Well Experienced Network/Systems expert OR someone with just 2-5 years experience if they have the basics in Networking Protocols, ideally Unifi or Cisco.
You will mostly be working from home with the odd in office day but also traveling to potential client sites doing things like Network builds, system migrations, O365, SharePoint Permissioning, VoIP installs etc. As an MSP, our client works with hundreds of different clients around the GVRD. You will act as a client focused Systems & Network Consultant. Often times, road in front of you and wind in your hair :) with a great balance to work from home. This means, lots of exciting new projects, meeting tons of new people, learning about new business's, and diving into complex and interesting projects often.
Here's what you might be doing:
- Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructures, particularly with UniFi or similar platforms.
- Manage SharePoint rules and permissions, ensuring effective access control and data management.
- Provide expert-level technical support to clients, both remotely and on-site.
- Collaborate with the service desk team to address and resolve network-related issues swiftly.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation, procedures, and guidelines for network setups.
- Lead and execute network-related projects, including upgrades, installations, and security implementations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, translating technical concepts into clear, actionable insights.

Work Location:
Hybrid Remote: Typically 1 day in office/or on client site, 4 days remote but that can change

You are an experienced Tier 2 with a strong background in designing and managing network infrastructures within an MSP or consulting environment. You’re a proactive problem-solver who enjoys working directly with clients to address their networking challenges. Technical Skills Required:
- Minimum 2 years in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment
- Strong knowledge in UniFi or similar network platforms.
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint rules, permissions, and data management.
- Proficiency in Cloud Services (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, AWS, Azure).
- Experience with VoIP solutions (e.g., 3CX, FreePBX).
- Familiarity with RMM and PSA tools, as well as backup and disaster recovery solutions.
