The Cybersecurity lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's information security program. This role involves developing and implementing security policies, procedures, tools, and strategies to protect the company's digital assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The Director will lead a team of security professionals and work closely with Information Technology and other departments to identify and mitigate security risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive information security policies, procedures, tools, and strategies.
- Lead and manage the information security team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with IT, risk management, and other departments to address security risks and implement effective security controls.
- Oversee incident response planning and execution, including the investigation and resolution of security breaches.
- Stay current with emerging security threats and trends, and proactively implement measures to protect the organization.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees.
- Manage the budget for the information security program and allocate resources effectively.
- Represent the organization in security-related discussions with external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of information security principles, practices, and technologies.
- Experience with security frameworks and standards such as NIST and CCPA.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a similar industry or sector.
- Knowledge of cloud security and experience with cloud service providers.
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies such as endpoint detection and response, SIEM, firewalls, and email security.
