Job Description
Corporate Security at CPP Investments develops and maintains a comprehensive and robust security, life safety and emergency response program to mitigate risks to our employees and assets. In support of this mandate, our group ensures the security of our global offices; tracks world events with potential to impact our employees; and respond in times of crisis, providing intelligence, relief, and recovery to normal business operations.
The Senior Analyst for Corporate Security will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of our organization. The successful candidate will have a strong background in intelligence gathering, threat assessment, and risk mitigation. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a keen understanding of global security issues. The Senior Analyst role will be based in Toronto and will report to the Manager, Corporate Security.
Job Description
- Develop an understanding of the threat profiles, activities, and trends that impact the organization and transform information collection into various intelligence products such as advisories, assessments, briefings, and presentations.
- Support the overall security posture of the firm to identify and mitigate risks across our global offices. Support the Corporate Security response to potential threats and vulnerabilities through the collection, analysis, and dissemination of information in a timely manner. This includes the proactive monitoring of threats that may impact personnel, assets, or operations.
- Assist with the Travel Risk Management Program by providing analytical support and monitoring for potential impacts.
- Assist the with various tasks, as required, in support of incidents, investigations or in support of high-profile events.
Qualifications
Education & Professional Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- 3-5 years of relevant analytical experience within the security or intelligence community.
- 3-5 years of relevant threat intelligence collection and product development.
- Experience in OSINT including knowledge of best practices, collection, and analytical techniques.
Personal Competencies:
- Ability to deliver high quality reporting on complex issues in a high-tempo environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to take concepts or events and present them simply, concisely, and effectively.
- Strong judgment, problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to effectively process information from multiple sources and draw meaningful assessments.
- Proven ability to build and foster professional relationships. The role will include maintaining liaison relationship with peer-position security professionals in domestic and international corporations and peer industry groups.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and keep abreast of global security issues as well as organizational developments which could impact CPP Investments’ operating or risk environment.
