Employment: Full-Time Permanent
Location: Kitchener, ON
Pay: $95,000-$110,000
Insight Global is seeking a Network Engineer for a large Manufacturing client in the Waterloo Region. This role requires the successful candidate to be onsite 2-3x/week.
Responsibilities:
- Administering, securing, and maintaining enterprise network and server infrastructure across manufacturing and corporate environments.
- Supports LAN/WAN networks, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, virtualization platforms, cybersecurity initiatives, and manufacturing systems while providing Level 2/3 technical support.
- Works closely with internal teams and vendors to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient IT operations.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of enterprise network administration experience supporting LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless, routing, switching, and firewalls.
- Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, wireless networking, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with enterprise firewalls and cybersecurity including VPNs, MFA, endpoint security, and vulnerability remediation.
- Manufacturing environment experience supporting production floor infrastructure, OT systems, or plant operations.
- Experience with BGP/OSPF and RIP - Familiarity with Aruba Central, Aruba/Cisco Devices
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration experience.
- VMware or Hyper-V virtualization experience.
- Experience supporting multi-site organizations and remote locations.
- PowerShell scripting skills for automation and administration tasks.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Security+, Azure Administrator, Fortinet, or ITIL.
