The Team

Contributes to the overall success of the Cyber Operations Management (COM) and contributes to the overall success of the Cyber Security Operations (CSO) ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted follow governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.This position will work with the leadership team of COM and various other CSO unit teams to manage common projects, common regulatory requirements, contribute to common operational decisions as well as provide business case and vendor management support to internal CSO teams.

Key Accountabilities

  • The incumbent must have business knowledge and experience (The strategic importance of projects, how they relate to Scotiabank's goals, how projects interact/impact of change and/or delays in projects).
  • The incumbent is expected to have ability to conduct audit meetings, summarize it, define actions item, and follow up to completion.
  • The incumbent is expected to have the ability to read, analyze and design process and procedure, also, be able to identify enhancements opportunities, prepare supporting data and present to management for approval.
  • Work with the CSOps and other business units to effectively manage common projects, regulatory requirements, contribute to common operational decisions and ongoing initiatives pursuing for new enhancement opportunities to deliver effectiveness and efficiency to CSOps process and procedures.
  • Facilitates various Programs and meetings under the purview of the Cyber Operations Management that may include: Third Party Risk Management, Contract Management, Audit and Regulatory compliance, CSO Operations Management and CSO Reporting.
  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
