Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement:
Cultivate and strengthen relationships with producers by providing on-farm consultations on agronomy, crop production, and financial planning.
Anticipate and address customer needs throughout each season.
Deliver agronomy services including crop scouting, soil testing, and product recommendations.
Proactively seek new business opportunities within the designated area.
Sales and Budget Management:
Manage a full line of crop inputs, including crop protection products, seed dealers, and custom fertilizer.
Lead pre-season sales budgeting and inventory planning.
Coordinate fertilizer, seed, and crop protection purchases.
Optimize sales by leveraging discount opportunities through vendor programs.
Stay abreast of industry advancements in technology.
Logistics and Administration:
Collaborate with logistics coordination to ensure seamless farm deliveries and exceptional customer experiences.
Input custom fertilizer blend formulations and manage customer quotes, prepayments, and invoicing.
Facilitate product order placement using vendor portals.
Provide backup support for product receiving as required.
Experience and Qualifications:
Graduate from a Canadian agriculture college/university program.
Strong understanding of grain, fertilizer, and crop inputs markets.
