Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Senior Cyber Security Mod Work Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced cybersecurity solutions tailored to our organization's unique needs. Your expertise will be instrumental in safeguarding our systems, data, and networks against evolving cyber threats. As a Senior Engineer, you will lead initiatives, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of security across our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cybersecurity Solution Design: Develop comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and solutions, including threat detection, prevention, and incident response mechanisms.
  • Implementation and Integration: Lead the implementation of cybersecurity technologies, tools, and frameworks, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and workflows.
  • Mod Work Engineering: Specialize in modifying existing security measures and systems to enhance effectiveness and address emerging threats.
  • Security Architecture Review: Conduct thorough reviews of security architectures, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending enhancements to fortify defenses.
  • Security Government, Risk, and Compliance: Help maintain current compliance and regulatory compliance with PCI and SOX. Ensure current and help craft new policies and procedures for the department and company. Work with external auditors, deliver on required evidence and documentation and identify needed process improvements.
  • Identity Management: Advanced skills and knowledge with Microsoft AD, Azure Cloud Identity, and LDAP. Experience with different MFA, SSO, and setting up applications via SSO or SCIM.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Perform regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and address potential security risks proactively.
  • Incident Response Management: Develop and implement and assist in incident response plans, leading efforts to investigate security incidents, contain threats, and minimize impact.
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Provide technical leadership to junior engineers, guiding their professional development and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams, including IT, software development, and compliance, to ensure security considerations are integrated into all stages of project lifecycles.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, and leverage this knowledge to drive innovation and enhance our security posture.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of security processes, procedures, and configurations and prepare regular reports for management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or time in a related field.
  • Extensive skill, knowledge, and experience using Microsoft products and solutions, especially the Azure Cloud Security solutions and offerings.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in cybersecurity engineering, focusing on mod work and system customization.
  • Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, technologies, and frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS Controls, CSA-CCM, PCI-DSS, and SOX).
  • Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies, such as EDR, P2PE for payment, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection, data classification and encryption solutions…etc.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and customization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are preferred.
  • Advanced experience with Identity management, SSO, and SCIM concerning individual accounts and application access.
  • Ability to work on-call rotation to provide night and weekend critical support.
  • The role is on-premise, in the office, four days & 1 remote day per week.
