We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Security Specialist with over 10 years of hands-on experience in security architecture and engineering within the Azure environment. As a self-starter, you will lead Azure Security Architecture and Engineering initiatives, driving security controls aligned with industry standards such as NIST CSF, SOX, SOC2, FEDRAMP, and CIS Controls.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Azure Security Architecture and Engineering efforts, ensuring alignment with best practices and industry standards.
  • Implement and maintain security controls in accordance with common information security standards including NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, CSA CCM, SOX, and Privacy regulations.
  • Utilize expertise in Azure public cloud, O365, Azure DevOps, Azure cloud-native design, microservice architecture, containerization, and non-functional requirements to enhance security posture.
  • Develop and maintain Azure ARM Templates using tools like Terraform or Biceps, PowerShell scripts, and Azure CLI for efficient deployment and management of resources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps processes.
  • Stay updated on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to proactively address security challenges.

Requirements:

Must-Have

  • 10+ years of experience in security architecture and hands-on engineering, with a focus on Azure Security.
  • Self-starter and Senior resource who can lead Azure Security Architecture and Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security controls frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Azure ARM Template (Terraform or Biceps), PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Nice-to-Have

  • Relevant certifications such as Azure Security Engineer Certification, Microsoft Cyber Security Architect Certification, CISSP, or CCSP are a plus.
