Software Architect, Azure - Trading

Overview:

We're seeking a Senior Architect to lead the development of cutting-edge software solutions for automated trading and exchange operations in financial and energy markets. This role involves spearheading the design, optimization, and implementation of sophisticated algorithms to drive efficiency and innovation across trading platforms.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Solution Development:

- Lead the ideation and creation of innovative software solutions tailored for optimizing market dynamics.

- Collaborate closely with domain experts to understand market needs and devise strategic approaches.

- Engineer robust systems that leverage data-driven insights for competitive advantage.

- Establish seamless integrations with external data sources and proprietary platforms.

2. Market Intelligence Solutions:

- Develop cutting-edge tools for analyzing market trends and forecasting opportunities.

- Utilize advanced algorithms to process vast amounts of data and extract actionable insights.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and reliability of intelligence outputs.

- Implement real-time monitoring mechanisms to track market fluctuations and inform decision-making.

3. Automation and Efficiency Enhancement:

- Spearhead initiatives to automate repetitive tasks and streamline operational workflows.

- Design and implement software solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions for process optimization.

- Deploy monitoring and reporting tools to track performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.

4. Scalability and Performance Optimization:

- Architect scalable and high-performance systems to accommodate growing demands and data volumes.

- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and infrastructure components to support scalability.

- Identify and address performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal system functionality.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement efficient deployment and maintenance practices.

5. Risk Mitigation and Compliance Assurance:

- Develop risk management frameworks and implement controls to mitigate operational risks.

- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies through rigorous monitoring and auditing.

- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to address regulatory requirements and industry standards.

- Implement proactive measures to safeguard against potential threats and vulnerabilities.

6. Leadership and Team Development:

- Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.

- Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity and innovation.

- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding of project objectives.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.

- Over 12 years of experience in software development, with a focus on financial markets or energy trading.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, Java, .NET (C#), and JavaScript.

- Extensive hands-on experience with Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database.

- In-depth understanding of algorithmic trading concepts, market microstructure, and order execution.

- Familiarity with exchange protocols (e.g., FIX) and market data feeds.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
