Electronic Security Analyst (On Call)

Located in the heart of the tourism district, the Center serves as the perfect event destination - attracting more than 200 events to the Central Florida region annually. By hosting regional, national and international conventions, meetings and trade shows, the convention center infuses the local economy with new money and expanding business opportunities. As a result, roughly 1.5 million attendees contribute approximately $3 billion to the area's annual economy. The OCCC is a leader in the events, trade shows and conventions industry and is known as The Center of Hospitality.

Representative Duties

Responsible for creating and distributing access at the Orange County Convention Center by providing badge or key access to authorized employees or contractors. Assisting the Electronic Security Specialists with other event Electronic Security Access matters. Work is performed under the supervision of the Electronic Systems Coordinator or other designated supervisor.

  • Issue completed Access or ID badges to OCCC employees, contractors and clients with proper access levels.
  • Cutting hard keys and pinning cores for doors, padlocks and other locking devices.
  • Maintaining database records for all key issues, and locksmith jobs.
  • Operating and maintaining electronic key boxes and its Software.
  • Retrieves data from building security systems and prepare reports as required.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting the OCCC access control database.
  • Meets the Center of Hospitality (CoH) standards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

Must possess a valid Driver’s License and obtain a valid Florida Driver’s License within six months of hire.

Preferences

High school diploma or equivalent and/or one year vocational training in any computer related field or locksmith.

Must be proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Must be able to work flexible schedules as needed, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Educational Requirements

If your education was obtained in the United States, the County recognizes degrees or diplomas which are accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). If you have obtained education from a country other than the United States, your degree or diploma must be evaluated to determine the United States equivalency by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Service (NACES) or the Association of International Credentials Evaluations (AICE) at your expense.
