Job Title: Security & Network Operation Analyst

Location: United States - Remote, Working to EST time zone

About The Role

Due to a huge period of growth within BSI, we are excited to be looking for a Security & Network Operations Analyst to join our Information Security Team.

This position involves implementing and maintaining advanced security technologies, managing network configurations, and actively responding to both security and network service incidents.

The ideal candidate will be adept at troubleshooting issues related to security and network technologies, and proactively hunting for threats within the organization to prevent security breaches. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt and learn continuously, ensuring the organization's network operations are secure and efficient in supporting global operations.

Responsibilities

  • Researches, designs, and implements cyber security solutions for organization systems and products that comply with all applicable security policies and standards
  • Provide subject matter expertise to the wider IT organisation for strategic and tactical initiatives and operations
  • Works with IT, internal and external business partners to ensure that security is factored in the evaluation, selection, installation and configuration process of hardware and software
  • Analyses and makes recommendations to improve network, system and application architectures and configurations
  • Examines network, server, application logs to determine trends and identify as well as respond to security incidents
  • Assists in responding to audits, penetration tests and vulnerability assessments
  • Manages security & network solutions including troubleshooting, implementing and maintaining


To Be Successful In The Role, You Will Have

  • Recognized expertise in information security, the technology involved, current developments, the most commonly available products, and the application of information security within a technical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of common vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques.
  • Knowledge and understanding of infrastructure configurations. Examples, but not limited to: physical and virtual servers and cloud services.
  • Holds a relevant professional qualification e.g. CISSP, GSEC, Security +, AZ 500 , SC-200 or equivalent.

The salary for this position can range from $90k to $110k annually; actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's competencies, level of experience, education, location, divisional budget, and internal peer compensation comparisons.
