Cyber Security Analyst - Defense
Toronto, ON - hybrid - two days in office (downtown Toronto - John Street - Metro Hall)
Our client is the City of Toronto. We are one of four approved vendors for the Office of the CISO. We've been highly successful in helping them build their cyber security center of excellence the last few years having built strong relationships with our valued executives and hiring managers. Note -the process is fully outsourced, all applicants must work with an approved vendor; the job posting will only lead you to the vendors.
So what is this? This is an opportunity for a recent graduate (Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline) to join a growing world class Cyber Security practice with one of the largest municipalities in North America. You will report to the Manager, Cyber Defense, joining the team as an Analyst responsible for managing and responding to cyber incidents while ensuring the continuous operation and effectiveness of security technologies. This role involves upholding established cybersecurity standards and providing technical expertise and strategic guidance to all divisions, agencies, and corporations of the City.
By leading incident response efforts and managing security tools and technologies, you play a crucial role in protecting the City’s critical infrastructure and maintaining a secure digital environment for all stakeholders.
This is a full time permanent position with the salary set at $95K for 2024 with vacation/stat holidays and amazing benefits/pension. As noted this is hybrid with two days in office at 55 John Street.

We will be assessing relevant education as well as experience in a similar role with larger organizations where you may have gained similar experience amid a large team and organization. We'll be keying in on those with experience on the defense side of cyber (Blue Team) including SIEM, SOC, EDR, SOAR, Incident Management, etc.
