Technical Security Coordinator

Job Title: Technical Security Coordinator

Duration: 3+ Months

Location: Richmond Hill, ON (hybrid)

Pay rate: $40-$50 an hour on T4

Responsibilities

The Technical Security Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the coordination of security tools integration work for new and existing company acquisitions.

The coordinator will also support daily operational tasks that include technical security reviews, security policy compliance, security metrics and tools coverage, and security tools and service deployments across the enterprise.

  • Project Management: Proven project management experience including skills in project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Security Knowledge: Understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, and best practices, cloud security, network security, and compliance standards.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with various technical areas such as network architecture, operating systems, and security technologies to effectively communicate with technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Ability to assess security risks within projects, prioritize them based on potential impact and likelihood, and develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, compliance, and business stakeholders.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Proficiency in documenting project requirements, plans, progress, and outcomes, as well as preparing regular status reports and presentations for project stakeholders and senior management.
