Network Administrator

Description

Robert Half is looking for a Network Administrator to join a rapidly growing organization! If you are a motivated problem solver and passionate about establishing and maintaining a stable network infrastructure, you could succeed in this role. You will ensure security, integrity and high-availability of enterprise systems and related components to develop, administer and maintain the network infrastructure to support the business. The software, hardware, network security programs, and data storage systems you will work with change frequently. A key part of this role will be participating in ongoing education to remain up to date and fully informed. This permanent opportunity is for a Network Administrator who will work in the Bolton, Ontario, area.

Key responsibilities

• Managing the operation of all local area networks and services related to wide area networks, following company policies and procedures
• Coordinating and executing upgrades to network software and hardware
• Investigating and solving problems related to local area networks / wide area network performance, connectivity and related issues
• Providing control measures for LAN/WAN security, antivirus and spam
  
  

Requirements

• 3+ years experience related to the job
• Foundational knowledge in Data Backup
• Proficiency in Network Administration
• Knowledge of WANs (Wide Area Network)
• Adeptness in shell scripting
• Solid understanding of LAN (local area networks)
• Disaster recovery experience
• Experience with network protocols, software and hardware involved in LAN/WAN operations
• Experience in production environments and willingness to be on-call
• Aptitude for troubleshooting, analyzing and diagnosing problems
