Position Summary:

As a Sales Application Engineer, you are the key person ensuring Delta-Q customers have a seamless experience integrating our products. This role requires technical expertise in the product, an awareness of the sales/commercial side of the business, and a degree of influence over both external and internal stakeholders You join an international team of other Sales Application experts who truly enjoy putting our products into interesting customer applications. The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced individual, a fast learner and an adventurer who is driven by industry-leading technology development.

Specific Duties:

  • Acting as the customer's main technical contact in key markets such as construction equipment, autonomous machines, and light electric vehicles
  • Working as a team with Delta-Q Account Managers and Business Development Managers to develop best approaches and activities to win customers
  • Triaging and responding to customer inquiries regarding product specifications and charging system design, including software and communications troubleshooting
  • Creating charging solutions and software configurations from Delta-Q's portfolio to meet the requirements of large, complex, electro-mechanical customer machines
  • Influencing new charger designs and modifications by providing field knowledge and customer use case examples to internal development teams
  • Travelling independently or with a team to customer sites for meetings, service, or training, mainly in North America
  • Other duties as required


Requirements

  • Education in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline
  • Proven experience working in a customer-facing technical role.
  • Electrical or electronics design experience from concept to volume production
  • Experience with battery systems, power electronics design, or CANbus communications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation and instruction skills with customers
  • Ability to travel in North America up to 20% of the time

The following are considered assets to the position:

  • Experience in direct technical sales
  • Experience working in an industrial or commercial distribution environment


Benefits

Base Salary Range: $76,500 - $94,500 CAD per year plus bonus.

The compensation offered will be determined by experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skills.

Only in special circumstances, where candidates demonstrate the experience and skills to exceed those required for the position, would we consider paying above the range for this role.
