Position Summary:


Join Source44 as a Network Security Analyst and transform how people think about cyber-security! For someone who understands security and network events and data, this opportunity positions you to provide valuable insight, and actionable intelligence to Source44 and our clients. You thrive when identifying and solving network and security issues while using a multitude of related and disparate technologies. You enjoy building working relationships with other analysts and subject matter experts to increase and refine your troubleshooting, analytics, and reporting skills.



What you will be doing:


  • involvement in providing 24x7 coverage for the Network Operations Centre
  • and triage network and security alerts in a timely fashion with the tools provided to analyze and assess network and security incidents and work with next level support teams as required.
  • support documentation of the Source44 knowledge base.
  • client’s inquiries via phone or email in a professional and timely manner
  • security use case related processes and standards are followed.
  • all duties as assigned by the team lead and managers.



You have:


  • analytical and problem-solving skills
  • written and verbal communication skills
  • understanding of fundamental security and network concepts
  • in cyber threat intelligence models / security frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain).
  • with emerging security threats and their attack vectors - especially network attacks
  • knowledge/experience in one or more of: Next Generation Firewall (NGFW), Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN), network architecture, Extended Detection and Response (XDR), Web Application Firewall (WAF), Intrusion Prevention/Detection Systems (IPS/IDS), Security Information Event Management (SIEM)
  • to learn new skills and concepts while improving on existing ones.
  • years of professional experience in information systems technology
  • years practical experience handling security and network events or equivalent educational experience
  • or more of the following professional certifications: Network+, Security+, CySA+, or vendor equivalents

Rotating shifts and on-call participation

  • with a ticket management system to collect and document information pertinent to network and security investigations and incidents.
  • working with Python and APIs an asset.
