Do you have experience working as a Network and Cloud Engineer? Robert Half has been engaged by a startup client of ours who are in immediate need of a Network and Cloud Engineer to join their team on a part-time basis. This Network and Cloud Engineer position is based on-site in Edmonton, AB and will require the individual to be available during business hours for the occasional meeting and work 2-days per week. You will be responsible for the following:
Kubernetes Management
Deploy, oversee, and maintain Kubernetes clusters.
Monitor Kubernetes infrastructure, diagnose issues, and optimize performance.
Implement and manage container orchestration for applications.
SQL Server Management
Administer and uphold SQL Server databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
Enhance SQL Server performance through query refinement and indexing.
Execute backup and recovery strategies.
Production Servers Management
Monitor, configure, and sustain production servers for maximum uptime.
Enforce security protocols and update server configurations regularly.
Collaborate with development teams to deploy and manage applications efficiently.
Testing Servers Management
Establish and oversee testing environments for software development and quality assurance.
Coordinate server provisioning and deployment for testing purposes.
Address issues and align test environments with production configurations.
Computing Servers Management
Supervise computing servers for diverse computational tasks and workloads.
Monitor server performance and optimize resource allocation.
Implement automation solutions for streamlined provisioning and management.
Requirements
What you bring:
Demonstrated expertise in managing Kubernetes clusters, SQL Server databases, and diverse server environments.
Proficiency in containerization, automation, and orchestration tools.
Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is advantageous.
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a knack for troubleshooting complex issues.
Effective communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Jenkins, or Ansible is a plus.
