Job Title: IT and Information Security Specialist - Medical Devices Industry
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced IT and Information Security Specialist to join our medical devices company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the deployment and asset management of hardware components, including gaming laptops and VR headsets across multiple geographies with a focus on our North America market. They will have a strong understanding of HIPAA requirements with prior exposure to ISMS ISO 27001:2013 and experience in managing internal and external asset tracking, encryption, bitlocker, remote management, and monitoring software. The ideal candidate will also have experience with software licensing platforms and tools credentialing, as well as exposure to AWS cloud services, console management and information security. They will be experienced in image-based releases and have exposure to VPN.
Responsibilities
- Manage the deployment and asset management of hardware components, including gaming laptops and VR headsets across multiple geographies.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA requirements related to hardware, internal and external asset tracking, encryption, and bitlocker.
- Manage remote management and monitoring software to ensure efficient and secure use of devices.
- Ensure proper software licensing and tools credentialing.
- Have experience with image-based releases.
- Exposure to VPN.
- Exposure to AWS cloud services and console management.
- Troubleshoot and debug software and hardware issues as needed.
- Contribute to migration process from Windows-based platforms to Linux-based platforms.
- Contribute to hardening our security SOPs towards ISMS ISO 27001:2013 certification
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product releases.
- Manage project timelines and priorities to ensure timely delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field with CISSP certification.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT and Cyber-security related roles with knowledge of hardware and software components within the medical device industry.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA requirements, ISO 27001:2013 requirements and exposure to FDA cyber-security guidance for medical devices.
- Experience managing remote management and monitoring software.
- Experience with software licensing platforms and tools credentialing.
- Exposure to AWS cloud services and console management.
- Exposure to image-based releases and VPN.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
