SOC Analyst II

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented SOC Analyst to join our Cyber Team at Gopuff and play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's infrastructure from cyber threats. You will be responsible for monitoring security systems, analyzing events, identifying and investigating potential and real security incidents, and taking appropriate action to mitigate risks. This is a fast-paced and dynamic role that requires strong analytical skills, a passion for cybersecurity, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

This role will have a hybrid work schedule, where you will be able to showcase your creativity and build strong relationships with teams in a cross functional manner from Philadelphia, PA., San Francisco, Ca., Miami, Fl., and Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor security systems and network activity for suspicious events and potential breaches.
• Analyze security alerts and events using our suite of security tools.
• Investigate security incidents to determine their scope, root cause, and potential impact, with an eye towards not only theoretical but also real-world/practical concerns.
• Escalate critical incidents to the SOC Manager and other relevant teams.
• Document security incidents and investigations thoroughly.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
• Participates in on-call/after-hours work as needed.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing as needed.
• Assist with security incident response activities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date security documentation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the SOC processes and procedures.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a SOC Analyst or similar role.
• Experience with incident response frameworks.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and principles.
• Experience with security tools, technologies, and terminology.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work effectively under pressure.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or Bash is a plus.
  
  

Compensation:

• Gopuff pays employees based on market pricing and pay may vary depending on your location. The salary range below reflects what we’d reasonably expect to pay candidates. A candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. For additional information on this role’s compensation package, please reach out to the designated recruiter for this role.
