Role: Cyber Security Advisor
Start date: as soon as possible.
Duration: 12 months.
Location of Work (Address or City, Province): Halifax, NS

Description: The Cyber Advisor, will serve as the Cyber Security Lead by incorporating and guiding the implementation of cyber security best practices.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for educating and informing digital service providing functions of the program from cyber security and risk management perspectives in all phases of service delivery.
- Define and communicate cyber security requirements;
- Support cyber security and risk management practitioners, business partners, the vendor community and government and health staff.
Mandatory Skills and Experience:
- Completion of a University degree or equivalent education, training, and experience in a relevant Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Security.
- 5+ years of experience in cyber security in health sector with a focus on technical security architecture.
- 3+ years experience in cyber security architecture.
- Experience as a cyber security lead on major projects.
- Working knowledge and experience of cyber security framework and industry standards such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, CIS, ISO27000, Payment Card Industry Regulations (PCIDSS).
- Advanced knowledge and technical security expertise around IT networks and infrastructure, applications, servers, end points, IoT/OT, Cloud infrastructure and services.
- Experience working within and across remote teams, inter and intra organizationally.
- Proven track record of successful client engagements.
- Proven ability to deliver on time.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, TOGAF, SABSA, ITIL, ISO27001/2 or equivalent designations is considered an asset.
- Preference given to candidates with the above qualifications with experience in Nova Scotia context.
