Senior IT/Security Engineer

Do you freak out with excitement over the latest new hardware and software? Think you have what it takes to keep a growing software company thrumming like a nuclear submarine?

Well, Incredible Health is looking for a fantastic IT/Security Engineer to start our IT practice and increase our security posture through to the next phase of our growth. Play a visible and core role in educating our team on how to be security-minded. Set up a management system for our fleet of all remote laptops. Be the go-to master of IT and security that our company can rely on!

Usual days include:

• Managing our cloud services: AWS, Google, communication software.
• Change is constant, so you'll need to stay on top of the latest security tech and vulnerabilities to keep us inoculated.
• Allocating our resources to things that make us safer instead of the things that just look like they are making us safer.
• In our quest for constant evolution, you'll do risk assessments and implement the most important recommendations.
• Answering questionnaires and ensuring the IT teams at our hospital clients understand we're doing the right thing.
• Supporting co-workers when they manage to put their computers in a bad place.
• Ensuring that new employees get access to everything they need and those who are leaving are locked out.
• Setting up, administering, supporting, and being the go-to person for configuring third-party tools that help us do our work.
• Creating and maintaining security protocols for maximizing our operational security
• Playing professor and educating our team on everything security.
• Working with leadership to develop security requirements and implement them within the organization
• Advising on security matters during project planning and development.
• Being the savior in the event of a security breach/issue. Providing support and analysis to the team.
• No one is an island, so you'll enjoy talking to and training your awesome co-workers in other departments to ensure they stay secure. Also, they should enjoy talking to you!
• Working with our amazing team of full stack engineers to build out any improvements in the code base that you identify.

• Playing online team games until the wee hours of the afternoon
• Enjoying team trivia, magic shows, and team game nights!
• Meeting up with your awesome coworkers at one of our off-sites.
  
  

You might be the one we're looking for if:

• You've already been doing this kind of thing for at least five years.
• You have led startups or significant teams to develop best practices in security
• Cloud security is one of your strong suits. Extra points if you've locked down AWS before.
• You've deployed and administered tools for all the big acronyms like IAM, EDR/XDR, SIEM, CSPM, and MDM.
• You nerd out on new third party tools and services, staying up to date so Incredible Health can!
• You have scaled security to fight off the ever-increasing phishers and breachers in a fast and high-tech environment
