  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience with key security program functions including cyber defense operations, security architecture, identity and access management, vulnerability management, or cyber risk management.
  • 2 years of experience with cloud security, threat modeling, or detection development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certifications in Cloud (e.g., CCSP, CCSK, etc.), or other industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.).
  • Experience in one or more of the following information security domains: Incident Response, Security Operations, Threat Intelligence, Cloud Security, Enterprise Architecture.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure, operating system and application vulnerabilities, security architecture, and controls.
  • Knowledge of technologies used in incident response, network and endpoint architecture, threat modeling, or other SecOps areas.
  • Understanding of the cyber threat landscape.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with clients in a concise manner while managing expectations at both executive and technical levels.

About The Job

As a Security Consultant, you will be responsible for helping clients effectively prepare for, proactively mitigate, and detect and respond to cyber security threats. Security Consultants have an understanding of computer science, operating system functionality and networking, cloud services, corporate network environments and how to apply this knowledge to cyber security threats.

As a Security Consultant, you could work on engagements including assisting clients in navigating technically complex and high-profile incidents, performing forensic analysis, threat hunting, and malware triage. You may also test client networks, applications and devices by emulating the latest techniques to help them defend against threats, and will be the technical advocate for information security requirements and provide an in-depth understanding of the information security domain. You will also articulate and present complex concepts to business stakeholders, executive leadership, and technical contributors and successfully lead complex engagements alongside cross functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct security reviews and maturity assessments across technology and business teams to address cyber risk. Provide clear and organized risk findings and recommendations to clients.
  • Develop roadmaps and recommendations to drive client enhancements of their security architecture, governance, and standards.
  • Interface with clients to address concerns, issues, or escalations. Track and drive to closure any issues that impact the service and its value to clients. Provide guidance on building and/or maturing cybersecurity programs and the implementation of tools and technologies used for enterprise security.
  • Evaluate client needs, coordinate design for a solution, and clearly communicate the value proposition of complex and highly technical subjects. Implement and/or assess existing security controls.
  • Travel up to 20% as needed.
