Job Summary
As a Cybersecurity Analyst focusing on cloud and control design, you will evaluate, design, review, and implement secure IT architecture across both cloud and on-premises environments. This role emphasizes risk assessments, vulnerability evaluations, and cross-functional collaboration with IT teams to ensure technical solutions adhere to compliance regulations and enterprise security frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Security & Control Design: Establish, evaluate, and recommend security controls and architectures across cloud and on-premises systems.
- Cloud Security Oversight: Oversee security solutions in public cloud environments (such as AWS and Azure).
- Strategy & Communication: Articulate clear security architecture strategies and tool recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Compliance & Governance: Monitor and enforce compliance with regulatory requirements, security protocols, and internal policies.
- Vulnerability & Risk Assessment: Perform ongoing threat assessments and vulnerability evaluations to strengthen the overall security posture.
- Team Collaboration & Mentorship: Partner with various IT, engineering, and risk departments, providing guidance and mentorship on security best practices.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent field.
- Experience: Significant background (5+ years) in security architecture, cloud security, or IT control design.
Technical Proficiency:
- Hands-on experience with major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Deep understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
- Familiarity with hybrid/on-prem IT architecture and vulnerability management tools.
- Certifications (Asset): Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISA, or CRISC are highly preferred.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and French (bilingual environment).
