NYS Information Technology Services (ITS) is seeking a
Software Architect Expert
Day To Day Task Include
- Production support of existing applications
- Analysis, design, coding, and unit/integration testing
- Create and update program specification and detail design documentation
- Application performance tuning
- Mentor junior programmers
- Application development for modernization effort
Requested Qualification
- 72 months of experience with Java programming in an IBM environment development using IBM's Rational Application Developer (RAD) and WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
- 84 months of experience developing tax processing systems in a federal, state or municipal agency
- 84 months installing, configuring, patching, testing Open Text Exstream software and architecting the design of complex business applications
- 84 months of IBM Mainframe COBOL programming experience
- 84 months of IBM DB2 for z/OS experience
Work hours and location:
- Full time role with engagement length of 30 months
- Daily work hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (negotiable)
- Physical office location: W A Harriman Campus - Bldg. 8, Albany, NY, 12227
- Fully Onsite. No telecommution option.
