We are looking for a diligent and thoughtful cyber security professional to join our Information Systems team in Toronto:

Cyber Security Analyst - Toronto

Working with a team of dedicated professionals, the Cyber Security Analyst will be performing daily tasks and maintenance of security related systems. The analyst will be responsible for ensuring no threats are affecting our infrastructure and working with our vendors and partners to keep our environment secure.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, and implement cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to be applied to the entire organization.
• Create enterprise security diagrams and documentation.
• Collaborate with the team to remediate vulnerabilities and ensure a secure computing environment.
• Work closely with the risk management team to provide regular updates and data metrics where required.
• Perform and run cybersecurity tabletop exercises to simulate data breaches and response activities.
• Participate and present in regular cybersecurity governance meetings.
• Respond and remediate any alerts and notifications from our artificial intelligence tools.
• Plan and execute our simulated phishing and training programs, including developing strategy; analyzing, automating, and sharing meaningful reports; and reporting campaign enhancements.
• Develop new awareness initiatives to increase our reach and meet the security training objectives.
• Foster a culture of security awareness and best practices within the organization.
• Provide regular in-person security training for new hires.
• Participate in the design and implementation of our security infrastructure.
• Collaborate with our security managed service provider to integrate security controls into systems and networks.
• Conduct compliance assessments to ensure adherence to security standards.
• Stay informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities to proactively address potential risks.
• Able to apply or adopt new industry regulations and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or the equivalent work experience/certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience
• Extensive experience with EDR, SIEM, Anti-Spam. Anti-Phishing and other enterprise security tools.
• Familiarity with industry standard frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, etc.
• A strong understanding or background in Cloud Security. Cloud certifications is a plus.
• A strong understanding of IP, TCP/IP, and other network administration protocols.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
