We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator to join our team. As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's network infrastructure. This includes troubleshooting network issues, implementing security measures, and ensuring the overall stability and performance of our network systems.
ENFOCOM helps customers improve their cybersecurity posture to prevent them from being the next target of a cyber-attack by providing innovative cybersecurity consulting, penetration testing and training services. ENFOCOM has over 20 years of experience in delivering solutions for commercial, academic and aerospace defence customers.
We are looking for someone in the Calgary area who could work a hybrid schedule from their home office and the company office.
What are the primary duties and responsibilities?
- Administer, monitor and troubleshoot various corporate IT systems, ranging from desktops, servers, networking, storage, and mobile devices.
- Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot virtual technologies, cloud systems, backup solutions, disaster recovery solutions, remote connectivity including firewall management and network security measures to protect data, software and hardware.
- Troubleshoot Information Technology systems and processes; including critical thinking and research different methods of resolution.
Professional experience and qualifications required:
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Engineering or related technical discipline and/or to candidates possessing any or all of the following valid accreditations:
- Microsoft Certified in the paths of: Azure, M365, Security Operations,
- SQL Server administration and maintenance experience
- Experience with Microsoft server administration and maintenance and using multiple virtualization technologies.
- Seven (7) years experience within IT Operations.
- Five (5) years experience with Networking operations/administration and Microsoft Server Technologies.
- Four (4) years experience with Systems Administrations and Virtualizations Technologies.
- Three (3) years experience with Enterprise Security Technologies.
- Strong networking knowledge of VPN, VLAN, TCP/IP, wireless networks, domain networking, domain controllers and network printing and devices.
- Experience with IT contract negotiations and preparing IT business proposals to senior executives.
- Incident Management - Monitor systems and identify performance issues reactively. Follows standard protocols for troubleshooting standard incidents. Verify system/product operations. Works within strict time scales and elevates incidents within defined time windows.
- Product Installation - Perform routine installations, configurations per standard protocols. Assemble and integrate system/products
- Operations Maintenance - Perform routine maintenance.
- ESX, Proxmox, Windows, and virtual environment management and support
- Storage Area Network management and support
- Data backup management and support
- Active Directory management & Support
- Microsoft-related services management and support (DHCP, DNS, DFS, etc...).
- Monitors and manages backup/restore and disaster recovery plans
- Infrastructure security
- Monitoring system performance to be proactive to possible system failures
- Resolve procedural, operational, and technical problems
Other key skills:
