Field Support Analyst
Job Location: Nanticoke, Ontario
Job Type: Full-Time
About the role:
The Field Support Analyst is responsible for supporting general end user computer infrastructure technology and services at the Stelco facilities.
Safety is the Core Value of Stelco and the individual will make safety the #1 priority in the execution of all work activities, including monitoring contractor/vendor safety in support of work efforts.
This is an onsite position reporting to the Information Systems Services Manager.
Your day-to-day
- Provide general support for all PC, tablets, printers, MFD, mobile terminal, tag printers, BlackBerry and iPhones, VOIP phone and software issues including daily customer service and problem ticket management
- Participate in daily support activities with local resources and business areas
- Manage computer inventory and equipment
- Gather requirements and respond to customer requests
- General project management, where applicable
- Provide 24/7 on call support on a rotating schedule supporting both Hamilton and Lake Erie facilities.
- Be able to lift 50lbs and have the physical fitness necessary to work in a heavy industry environment
What you bring to the table
Job Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma from University/College in related Computer Science, Engineering or IT Technology field or equivalent work experience
- A valid Ontario G or G2 Drivers License and reliable vehicle is required
Job Skills and Knowledge
- Working knowledge of installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance and upgrades to all Windows desktop-based operating systems
- Knowledge of endpoint technologies and their application in an enterprise environment
- Informed in Antivirus. Encryption Management. Cyber Security
- Significant attention to detail, timeliness, accuracy, and skill to grasp concepts quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be comfortable working in a mill/manufacturing environment
