Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure and scalable network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in networking principles, protocols, and security, with hands-on experience working with enterprise network devices, firewalls, DNS, and load balancing technologies. Knowledge of Akamai and modern content delivery solutions is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments
- Configure and manage network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, DNS servers, and load balancers (F5)
- Monitor and optimize network performance, availability, and scalability
- Identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities, including risks associated with high-risk protocols
- Ensure network security through proper configuration, patching, and adherence to best practices
- Support hybrid cloud networking and integration between cloud and on-prem systems
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide root cause analysis
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure secure network operations
- Implement and manage CDN and edge delivery solutions (e.g., Akamai)
- Document network architecture, configurations, and operational procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6–8+ years of experience in network engineering or related roles
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI model, routing, switching)
- Experience with network vulnerabilities, security controls, and risk mitigation
- Hands-on experience with:
- Firewalls and network security appliances
- DNS infrastructure
- Load balancers, preferably F5
- Enterprise network devices (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)
- Experience in both on-premises and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of high-risk protocols and their impact on network security
- Familiarity with CDN technologies, preferably Akamai
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent
- Experience with network automation tools and scripting
- Exposure to zero-trust architectures and modern network security frameworks
- Experience in hybrid or multi-cloud environments
