Privacy Analyst

Under the responsibility of the Director, Regulatory Compliance and the direction of the Manager, Complaints, Regulatory Investigations and Policy, the incumbent is responsible for assessing and making recommendations related to privacy matters.

Under the responsibility of the Director, Regulatory Compliance and the direction of the Manager, Complaints, Regulatory Investigations and Policy, the incumbent is responsible for assessing and making recommendations related to privacy matters.
Duties include:
- Assessing, analyzing, investigating and documenting privacy incidents and complaints in accordance with policies and procedures;
- Reviewing and making recommendations on privacy impact assessments for corporate initiatives;
- Keeping current on federal and provincial privacy laws, practices and trends;
- Assisting in drafting privacy policies and procedures and related documentation and forms; Assisting in drafting and reviewing privacy training materials;
- Preparing privacy reports for the iA Private Wealth Board and Privacy Officer;
- Participating in privacy projects and making recommendations to management;
- Assisting the Regulatory Compliance team with other matters as needed.
- College diploma (DEC in Quebec) or university degree;
- More than 3 years of experience in a similar privacy role;
- Knowledge of federal and provincial privacy laws in Canada, including Law 25 in Quebec and Bill C-27;
- Professional privacy certifications or designations (e.g. CIPP or equivalent) is an asset;
- Familiarity with privacy risk management and compliance and ability to understand privacy policies and procedures and provide guidance on related matters
- Strong organization and analytical skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
