About the Role
Accorian Assurance is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager – SOC 1 / SOC 2 to join our growing assurance practice. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee multiple System and Organization Controls (SOC) examination engagements, ensuring they are executed with technical precision and meet the highest industry standards.
You will act as a strategic advisor to our clients, navigating the complexities of control design and compliance while leading high-performing engagement teams to success.
Key Responsibilities
Engagement Oversight: Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of SOC 1 and SOC 2 attestation engagements.
Standards & Quality: Ensure all engagements strictly adhere to AICPA attestation standards and the firm’s internal quality and risk management protocols.
Client Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert guidance on SOC reporting requirements, control environments, and long-term compliance strategies.
Team Development: Oversee and mentor engagement teams, performing detailed reviews of technical workpapers and reports to ensure accuracy and high-quality delivery.
Practice Growth: Support the firm’s growth by contributing to business development efforts and developing the technical capabilities of Managers and junior staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
Certification: Must be a Certified CPA with a deep understanding of AICPA attestation standards.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Professional Experience: 4–10+ years of experience in audit, assurance, cybersecurity compliance, or risk advisory.
Significant, proven experience managing and performing SOC 1 and SOC 2 engagements.
Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of SOC reporting frameworks and the ability to interpret complex control environments.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for clients.
Work Environment
Hybrid Model: This role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement within Canada, combining the benefits of remote work with purposeful in-person collaboration at our office or client sites as required.
Pay: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
