Business Development Manager
This is an excellent opportunity to join a global power transmission and automation solutions leader. This role is responsible for selling the company's industrial gearing portfolio, which is often sold to the mining, material handling, aggregates, cranes, hoisting, forestry, and cement industries.
This role is open due to growth, with the region performing well, typically growing 8-12% yearly, and today is generating around $6M in revenue. As such, your role will include a mix of business development and account management, using strong communication skills to deliver year-on-year growth.
Other responsibilities:
- Performing the selection and sizing of power transmission systems based on customer specifications and needs.
- Interacting with both national and international manufacturing plants on sales activities and technical issues
- Working closely with the local technical, engineering, and service teams to ensure long-term customer satisfaction
- Working with partners and the local sales team to help close deals
What are we looking for?
- Mechanical Engineering degree.
- 3+ years of sales experience.
- Experience in the power transmission industry (electric motors, gear units, gear motors, reducers, couplings, base plates, etc.) or the industrial automation industry.
- Located in BC. Vancouver would be perfect, but it is optional.
Salary: $80K - $90K + 20% bonus (overachievement possible) + car + benefits
