Information Technology (IT) Manager

Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee and evolve the organization’s technology environment, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient IT operations. This role is responsible for both strategic and hands‑on leadership, spanning daily IT support, infrastructure management, cybersecurity, vendor oversight, and systems optimization.
The IT Manager plays a critical role in aligning technology with business needs, managing risk, supporting operational continuity, and enabling scalability as the organization grows. This position requires a self‑starter with strong technical depth, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations and Infrastructure
Oversee and support day‑to‑day IT operations, including networks, systems, hardware, software, and end‑user support
Maintain continuous availability of network infrastructure, including routers, VPNs, and wireless environments
Provide support during critical business periods and outside standard hours as required to maintain operational continuity
Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls across enterprise systems
Deploy, manage, and maintain end‑user devices and hardware
Security, Risk, and Compliance
Ensure secure access to company and client information through approved systems and controls
Perform regular patching, monitoring, and log reviews
Implement preventative cybersecurity measures and respond to potential security risks or incidents
Conduct security reviews, vulnerability assessments, and remediation activities
Enforce audit, security, and compliance requirements
Support audit activities by responding to IT‑related requests and inquiries
Systems and Applications
Support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise operating systems and software platforms
Manage cloud productivity and collaboration environments, including identity, security, and licensing
Plan for scalability of systems and infrastructure to support organizational growth and a mobile or hybrid workforce
Evaluate, recommend, and implement technology solutions that improve operational efficiency
Vendor and Asset Management
Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and consultants
Oversee IT procurement, hardware inventory, and software licensing
Ensure services are delivered reliably, securely, and cost‑effectively
Policy, Process, and Training
Develop, document, and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices
Provide onboarding and offboarding support for employees
Deliver ongoing training and awareness sessions to staff on key IT and security topics
Serve as the primary point of contact for IT inquiries, providing timely and effective support
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
10+ years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years in an IT leadership or managerial role
Strong knowledge of networking, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure
Experience managing hybrid or remote IT environments
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Knowledge of business continuity, disaster recovery, and risk management practices
Relevant technical or security certifications considered an asset
