Powerland, a Xerox Business Solutions Company, is seeking high energy, self-starter individual that is looking to excel in their career as a Network Administrator either in the Winnipeg or Regina region. The Network Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure. They ensure the smooth operation of communication networks in order to provide maximum performance and availability for their users.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, install, support, and manage networks and related systems, ensuring continuous information flow and network connectivity across LAN/WAN infrastructure.
  • Implement and maintain network security protocols, contributing to the organization's overall cybersecurity framework.
  • Troubleshoot network issues, maintaining high service availability and performance.
  • Identify network requirements, install upgrades, and conduct regular network performance monitoring, aligning with professional services standards.
  • Ensure reliability and efficiency of the network infrastructure, playing a key role in the delivery of IT services.
  • Lead and contribute to the delivery of professional IT services, including project management, client interactions, and service optimization.
  • Continuously update and maintain network systems, following industry best practices and contributing to the organization's service excellence.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Certificate or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Preferred certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Aruba, Clearpass.
  • 5-10 years in network management and troubleshooting, including experience leading projects in customer-centric and professional services IT environments.
  • Proficient in network device configuration and troubleshooting; experienced in network design, remediation, and documentation; strong understanding of networking technologies (switching, routing, firewalls, VLANs, routing protocols, Spanning-Tree, NAT, SD-WAN). Knowledge of Tier 1 brands (Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper), Load Balancers (F5, Brocade), and WAF technologies. Cisco ISE and/or Aruba Clearpass experience is an asset.
  • Proven ability to lead in a professional services environment, including project management, client service, and delivery optimization. Strong communication skills for effective client and team interactions.
  • Able to travel and attend in person client meetings.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team. Knowledge of cable management best practices for an organized network setup.
