This role works closely with the Chief Privacy Officer in the handling and resolution of privacy incidents and management of the Privacy Risk Management Program.

In this role, the successful candidate is expected to oversee the daily, monthly and quarterly processes within the Privacy Risk Management Program, be able to effectively provide guidance to other departments on privacy matters and maintain various privacy related records.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Ensure all assigned privacy related matters are handled in accordance with the Privacy Risk Management Program (“PRMP”) including, but not limiting to:

  • Handle reported privacy matters ensuring that the they are logged on the Privacy Incident Database.
  • Maintain the Privacy Incident Database to ensure that all logged items are up to date with any pertinent information and resolution.
  • Prepare an internal investigation report following internal standards for Privacy Incident as required by the PRMP .
  • Assist the Chief Privacy Officer in conducting annual monitoring and testing of privacy controls and on-going development of Privacy Training material and the PRMP.
  • Manage and maintain the Data Map in accordance with Privacy Office policies and procedures.
  • Review and assist in the completion of Privacy Impact Assessments for new projects.
  • Liaise with Compliance Management, Legal Department, Executive Management Group, Project Groups to assist in the completion of Privacy Impact Assessments, as appropriate.
  • Assist with project-based work, implantations and investigations as required.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • University/College degree in a related field
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within the financial services industry
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and work efficiently to meet daily deadlines for the team
  • Detailed-oriented, extremely self-motivated and dedicated, and a good team player
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Ability to thrive in a growing/dynamic environment
  • Canadian Securities Course, IFIC, PFP and other industry courses would be an asset
  • Comfort in using and learning new software systems
