Position: IT Architect, Network and Security.
Location: Markham, ON.
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications).
Industry: IT / Network / Security / Cisco.
Employment Term: Full Time / Permanent.
Type: On - Site.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing the design and build of network & security solutions.
- Planning, researching, and designing security architectures.
- Developing, reviewing, and approving the installation requirements for LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers etc.
- Maintain and optimize cyber-security posture of the organization.
- Engaging with vendors and assess new technologies.
- Testing the final security system and updating and upgrading it as needed.
- Establishing recovery procedures and conducting security breach maneuvers.
- Responding quickly and effectively to all security incidents and providing post-event analyses.
- Remaining up to date with the latest security systems, standards, authentication protocols, and products.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Post Secondary education in a computer related field.
- 8 - 10 years of related experience.
- Proven experience with switching and routing implementations: Cisco devices (including Cisco Meraki), Fortinet and Sophos devices.
- Experience with network design & optimization including LAN/WAN design.
- Experience in information security and/or IT risk management along with familiarity with Anti-Virus and Websense.
- Certification in Cisco Networking, CSIM, SANS GCIA and Microsoft operating systems preferred
- Excellent presentation/communications skills – both written and verbal.
