Requirements
- This role requires 6+ years working in information security/privacy with deep expertise in behavioral modeling, threat modeling, risk management, adult learning, and content creation.
- A proven track record of successful partnerships with internal stakeholders.
- Experience making improvements to products, process, and technology to make security and privacy the easy choice.
- Skilled at taking complex topics and making them simple.
What You’ll Be Working On
The Behavioral Engineer will support the Behavioral Engineering and Engagement function within Security and Privacy Engineering. They will lead an effort to architect an overarching program across these two domains, structured with training, engagement, and behavioral data pillars. This work will include:
- Building a brand identity for security and privacy at Etsy (in partnership with key XFN stakeholders).
- Constructing a human risk registrar and identifying the vital few behaviors to influence to reduce human risk and promote a positive security and privacy culture within Etsy.
- Architecting a holistic training catalog for the broader company, HoB, and role-based needs.
- Designing the 3 highest priority training modules.
- Constructing an annual engagement calendar.
- Tying each training and activity back to measurable, behavioral outcomes.
The interview process will include 2 rounds of interviews. The first round will include 1 module -- hiring manager screen (30 minutes). The second round will include 2-3 modules including behavioral design, XFN partnerships, and domain deep dive -- each 45 minutes.
This role is preferred hybrid NY but remote friendly.
