As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Cyber Security Analyst, to join our IT team and play a key role in protecting the organization’s systems, data, and infrastructure.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst responsible for maintaining and strengthening the information security posture of IMG and its affiliated companies. This role focuses on monitoring security systems, responding to threats, maintaining security policies, and continuously improving cybersecurity practices across the organization.
The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of cybersecurity tools and frameworks, experience managing security incidents, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities
Security Operations & Incident Response
- Monitor and maintain cybersecurity solutions, including daily security checks and responding to alerts.
- Investigate security threats and incidents and take appropriate remediation actions.
- Review cybersecurity incidents, tickets, and security tools to identify trends and mitigate risks.
- Participate in vulnerability management and security testing processes.
- Maintain and update security policies, procedures, and best practices.
Security Governance & Awareness
- Support and improve the organization’s cybersecurity awareness program with measurable KPIs.
- Prepare regular security reports including threat assessments and remediation actions.
- Stay informed on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies, and communicate relevant insights to the organization.
Advisory, Support & Continuous Improvement
- Provide advanced technical support and investigation for cybersecurity incidents.
- Evaluate new technologies and applications to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.
- Collaborate with IT teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Support end users with cybersecurity-related requests and security best practices.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement of the organization’s cybersecurity posture.
Qualifications
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing and monitoring cybersecurity solutions in a complex IT environment.
- Strong knowledge of security technologies including:
- Firewalls
- Email and DNS filtering
- VPN, SSO, and MFA
- Endpoint patch management
- EDR/XDR and SIEM tools
- Vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Office 365 security
- Experience with cybersecurity concepts such as:
- IDS/IPS
- Incident response planning
- Endpoint encryption
- Cloud security
- Mobile device security
- Strong experience with Microsoft environments including Active Directory, Azure, Office 365, Exchange Online, Windows Server, virtualization platforms, and PowerShell.
- Familiarity with NIST CSF compliance frameworks.
