POSITION OBJECTIVE:
As part of the ICT Security, the Security Technical Analyst will support various aspects of cyber security for seven sites, two-organization networks. The Security Analyst's role is responsible for managing and supporting security access, conducting security through vulnerability testing and risk analysis, performing and or coordinating internal and external security audits. Analyzing security breaches to identify root cause. The role will also require a deep understanding of security controls such as endpoint protection, firewalls, intrusion detections, web security, and email security. The individual will also be working with data encryptions methods and performing risks assessments of data processing systems. Working along with the Supervisor of Security on executing security awareness programs. This individual also participates in the planning and implementation of security policies and procedures that are consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Provides a point of escalation as well as mentorship to the Service Desk. This role takes part in the on-call rotation and reports to the Cybersecurity Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o College Diploma in Computer Technology or University Degree in Computer Science and/or 3-5 years equivalent work experience
o Must clearly demonstrate 3-5 years' experience in working in a security analyst role
o Knowledge working with Linux/Windows Operating Systems
o Strong knowledge in Computer Forensics, Incident Response, Reverse Engineering, Social Engineering, Data Loss Prevention
o Proficiency in security tools such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Next Gen Endpoint Protection, Data Loss prevention (DLP), Vulnerability Assessment, Key Management System, Certificate Management (i.e. private and public), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Email Security, and network monitoring tools
o Experience in incident response, including identifying, analyzing, and responding to security incidents in a timely manner
o Expertise in Cyber Security, Firewalls, Network Security, Linux, Unix security, Microsoft Windows, IoT, and MIOT device security.
o Knowledge to identify potential threats so that the organization can protect itself from malicious hackers and threats. This includes penetration testing during which analyst will test networks, computers, and web-based applications to detect exploitable vulnerabilities
o One or more of the following certifications is required Certified Ethical Hacker, CompTIA Security+, ISC2 SSCP
o Familiarity with security operations center (SOC) operations, including monitoring, analysis, and response to security events
o Knowledge in various tools such as CyberArk, Crowdstrike, Netskope, Proofpoint, SailPoint would be an asset
o Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, Conditional Access Policy, Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft 365 Security suite
o Familiarity with different access control models such as RBAC, ABAC, MAC, DAC, RuBAC
o Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of cyber security solutions, systems, or products
o Self-starter with ability to self-manage at required service and work performance standards; Able to set high standards for results, and once achieved, able to raise the standards even higher
o Proven ability to create and maintain procedure documentation
o Previous Healthcare Experience would be an asset
o Actively involved in continuing education opportunities
o Proven ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders and to build strong relationships
o Proven analytical skills with an aptitude for process evaluation and problem-solving
o Participate in LDG (Local Delivery Group) activities to meet the Ontario Health deliverables
o Collaborate with other hospital service providers to improve the cybersecurity posture
o Ability to learn new areas of unfamiliar territory
o Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal, communication, leadership, judgement, critical thinking and decision-making skills
o Ability to meet, prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous tasks and deadlines
o Consistent and regular attendance required
