You will be working on a high-profile program supporting mission-critical application development for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Your team on the program will have a direct say with your participation in the design and implementation of a mission-critical application that integrates with other FCC systems and impacts FCC employees and public users, starting at the design phase to include the development, implementation, and maintenance of a technology roadmap.

- Implement database design, configuration changes, and testing
- Refine database schemas and structures to optimize performance

- Work with Agile teams and clients to design and build cloud-native serverless architecture
- Work with the software development team and other technical team members to design and build applications and microservices
Requirements...
- Experience creating and managing large data tables (structured mostly).
- Experience with coding in Python, Apache Spark, R, or Matlab
- Experience with optimizing search for internal and external data
- Experience supporting implementation of an AWS-based cloud native strategy
- Knowledge of standard data science techniques such as feature engineering, data exploration, model development, validation etc.
- Experience with coding in SQL
- Experience with building data visualizations and desktop software such as Tableau and PowerBI
- Comfortable presenting technical/complex subject matter
- Able to communicate effectively with business leaders
- Must possess excellent problem-solving abilities and data analysis experience
- Motivated and self-driven with focus on customer satisfaction
Desired Skills:
- Experience with building data visualizations through Python libraries such as matplotlib and bokeh, as well as desktop software such as Tableau and PowerBI
- Working knowledge of management/tracking utilities such as JIRA/Confluence, a plus
- Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment and knowledge of Agile philosophies
- Able to clearly communicate and provide positive recommendation of improvements to existing software applications
- Experience with machine learning

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred
Location: Remote within U.S.
