Our team and what we’ll accomplish together

We are dedicated to provide guidance and provision all federal Government of Canada (GOC) and Government of Quebec (GOQ) related clearances and administrative service requirements by employees of TELUS and its subsidiaries. We ensure that TELUS employees are assisted in procuring and maintaining proper type and level of security clearances making them eligible to work on GOC and GOQ projects. These include but are not limited to GOC, GOQ, RCMP Facility Access, NATO and GOC Facility clearances.

Aside from clearances, we also process contractor sponsorship registration with GOC, procure document safeguarding capabilities (DSC) certifications, and comply with contract security program audits as required by the Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC).

What you’ll do

Play a key role in providing security clearance consultation to TELUS business stakeholders, helping them deliver on contractual obligations successfully for meeting GOC & GOQ contract security clearance requirements
Assist TELUS team members to procure their personal security clearances with Public Services Procurement of Canada (PSPC) and be designated as an Alternate Company Security Officer (ASCO), the unique channel of communications between Public Services Procurement of Canada and TELUS to ensure government security audit inspection requirements are met
Liaise with Government of Quebec to procure required personal security clearance to meet the contractual obligated personal security clearance requirements

Qualifications

What you bring

You are knowledgeable of criminal record check, security clearance screening and levels of security clearances requirements
You are experienced or knowledgeable in applying and following security policies, regulatory, legal and privacy guidelines and procedures
You are comfortable working with different databases and web-based applications
You are a strong team player, able to work harmoniously within a team, creating constructive and effective working relationships internally and externally
You are fluent in speaking, reading and writing in French (prime) and English (secondary)
You are able to prioritize work based on importance and urgency, can deal with high volumes of work, customer demands and resolve conflicts and customer issues when needed
You have working experience with computer systems and applications in a production environment
You have working experience in customer facing roles

Great-to-haves

Post-secondary, College or University Degree in Computer Science & Technology or related field
Currently hold or have held a valid security clearance certificate from Government of Canada at a minimum of Reliability Level, preferably Secret Level
