Robert Half is hiring now for a results-oriented and accomplished Lead Network Architect to fulfill a role for our Client. The successful candidate will be in charge of network and communications services, including architecture, strategy, planning, operation, maintenance, documentation, and continuous improvement. You will utilize your top-notch technical skills to identify and oversee complex, enterprise-wide network and communication improvement projects, from strategy development to project execution. You will also assume the role of the technical network and communication expert, with the capacity to address special and challenging issues that have a significant effect on the operation of the company. You will employ your excellent communication abilities to clarify difficult concepts, foresee potential objections, and be able to persuade stakeholders and executives to adopt a different point of view given the unique needs of our business areas. You will support business projects and initiatives through collaborating and providing required network services. Our Client is based in Edmonton, AB. but this role is open to fully remote work concessions for eligible candidates.

Requirements
MUST HAVES:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems, or similar experience, is preferred.
- 10+ years of expertise managing business network and communications projects and 15+ years of networking experience
- Fortinet Certification is necessary for this function to be successful.
- An Azure-specific Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
- Track record of success leading a sizable, intensely cooperative, geographically diversified team.
- Thorough technical familiarity with firewall products from Fortinet, Cisco, and related manufacturers
- Skilled at setting up and managing efficient network operations
- A networking and communications expert who is knowledgeable in switches, routers, and a variety of network services
- Cloud networking specialist
