BlueVoyant is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help us build a data analytics platform powerful enough to protect some of the world’s biggest networks and nimble enough to adapt to a quickly evolving product vision.
We are an interdisciplinary team working closely with Engineering, Analysts, and Product teams to identify relevant business problems to address, building prototypes, and deploying solutions at scale into production. The Data Science team plays an instrumental part in solving the most important and critical problems for the company.
We are looking for a candidate who is interested in the fascinating and complex software engineering challenges faced by the Data Science team, who will identify solutions to those problems and who will take ownership and drive the implementation of those same solutions. We are a small and dynamic team; therefore, you will be a key member and driver of our future success.
Responsibilities:- Work closely with cyber security analysts helping make the world safer by building systems to protect businesses against direct or indirect cyber-attacks.
- Be the expert on all things related to cloud architecture, deployments and scaling.
- Share your knowledge, and work directly with the individual data scientists to “productize” their models.
- Plan, design and implement (cloud) software systems to make our codebase and the team more robust and efficient.
- Build and maintain pipelines/workflows/statistical models using the following tools:
- Gitlab, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker, Airflow, Terraform, Python, SQL.
- If interested (not required), you will also have opportunities to directly work on your own data and science specific projects.
Requirements:- Have an advanced degree in a quantitative field such as (but not limited to) Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or Applied Mathematics.
- Have at least 3 years of experience in Python/Go/Java or a comparable programming language.
- Have experience with scheduled workflows, like Airflow or Cron.
- Experience with commercial cloud platforms (Google, AWS, Azure) and technologies for big data analytics (BigQuery, Dataflow, GCS, EC2, S3).
- Have experience building CI/CD pipelines using Git.
- Want to do things better and more efficiently.
