Segra is searching for a dynamic and experienced Regional Sales Director to form and lead a new sales team based in the Knoxville, TN market. The Sales Director will be responsible for monthly new revenue generation through successful management of a team. The Sales Director will have an understanding of Fiber access and transport, voice, local, long distance, MPLS, private line, broadband, high speed internet, VoIP, video, network management, managed network services, security solutions (i.e. firewall, SEIM, etc.), and cloud solutions (i.e. DRaaS, BaaS, IaaS, etc.)
The successful Sales Director is creative, energetic and a self-starter who fully understands the sales process, and has demonstrated leadership experience and at least 5 years of telecommunications or technology sales experience. He or she will know how to develop a team who will sell innovation and business value to compress decision cycles. The ability to build and maintain strong relationships, as well as strong communications skills is critical to the success of this role.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in sales / marketing or a related field of study, equivalent work experience or a combination thereof is preferred
Experience: Prior management experience; Must have at least two years’ sales experience - preferably in outside sales with telecommunications experience.
Key Competencies: Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills. Ability to develop others in a culture of growth and performance.
