The Winnipeg Football Club is looking for a passionate and career-driven individual to add to our Team! As part of the Corporate Partnerships team, you will be responsible for generating new business revenue through corporate partnerships by incorporating both traditional and new digital media assets (traditional signage, naming rights, radio, print, digital, social media, and community programs. You will package assets for prospective corporate partners and provide ideal solutions aligning with their business objectives for both the Blue Bombers and Valour FC.
The successful new team member will also manage account activation, service, and retention of assigned partnerships while driving ticket sales through group and corporate outing sales.
What you will do:
- Design and execute aggressive new business prospecting strategies for local, regional, and national brands for new revenue opportunities.
- Secure prospective meetings that result in comprehensive needs/analysis to gain further understanding of the prospect’s goals and objectives.
- Write and prepare thorough presentations/proposals utilizing all available assets that target partnership needs.
- Leverage and create marketing and media opportunities via partnerships (co-branding).
- Monitor progress of all sponsors/partner deals, working with the marketing and activation team to create and leverage best practices.
- Provide input with the creation, development and enhancement of sponsorship inventory, sales collateral and other materials. Participate in the development of budgeting and business plans.
- Work with companies to provide ticketing options which include seasons, premium seating and corporate outings for both teams.
- Develop and update concise, weekly sales reports for all corporate partnerships through the use of our CRM system.
Requirements
Must Haves:
- Ability to effectively interact with C-Level decision makers along with the ability to develop and maintain corporate relationships with senior-level managers/clients.
- Self-driven individual who is tenacious, creative, and has a passion for sales with a proven track record in building strong relationships.
- Excellent presentation and communications skills with the ability to prepare and review contracts.
- Able to create and develop marketing and activation campaigns for small, mid and large business partners.
- Flexible schedule and the ability to work all Blue Bomber and Valour FC home games and special events on evenings and weekends.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of school and work experience. Previous sales experience is required.
