Job Description
As a Junior Cyber Forensic Analyst Student, you will be part of a multi-skilled group whose mission is to continuously develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Cyber Forensic program for BlackBerry to safeguard its assets and comply with laws and regulations.
The Cyber Forensics team – part of Global Security department is responsible for handling requests from Corporate Investigations, HR and Legal. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Cyber Forensics the Analyst will be assisting with phases in the Digital Forensics Life Cycle. There will also be involvement in maintaining a Forensic lab environment and ensuring tools and equipment are up to date, and in good working order. Other responsibilities include process documentation, data management and investigative practices.

Length of Term: 4 Months
Responsibilities
- Ensure that requests are completed in a timely, objective and professionally competent manner compliant with applicable laws and regulations, industry standards, BlackBerry values, BlackBerry’s Business Standards and Principles and other relevant policies.
- Establish and maintain quality control in the collection, documentation, retention and presentation of material pulled pursuant to requests.
- Deal with complex technical requests that affect different business units across BlackBerry.
- Adherence to existing policies and processes in order to foster consistency in addressing all requests.
- Support collection of data for the legal hold process in conjunction with the eDiscovery team.
Skills And Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an Information Security or Cyber Forensic program.
- Solid verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- A strong focus on attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate the ability to be flexible and respond to a dynamic work environment
