Nasittuq provides Operation & Maintenance services for the North Warning System (NWS). The Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for cybersecurity tasks associated with Nasittuq’s Information Management System and the entire North Warning System (NWS). The role reports directly to the Chief Information Officer.
This is a full-time permanent position based in either Ottawa or North Bay, in a hybrid work environment. Travel to Ottawa/North Bay will be required periodically to perform in-person reviews with the customer cybersecurity representatives in Ottawa and work with the specialized system equipment in North Bay.
The role will develop and maintain the threat and vulnerability management program, including review of existing systems and new design requirements with Nasittuq engineering teams.
Responsibilities:

Performing cybersecurity engineering tasks associated with Information Management Systems (IMS)

Collaborating with internal and external groups to identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks

Monitoring networks and systems for security breaches, using software that detects intrusions and abnormal system behavior

Preparing, documenting, and educating standard operating procedures, policies, and best practices

Implementing security controls to protect infrastructure, computer systems, and data

Responding to any security breaches or intrusions that may occur, as the key resource for cybersecurity incident management

Leading risk assessment and opportunity reviews with Nasittuq and Customer teams
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering or relevant field and a minimum 5 years’ experience in cybersecurity, information technology, cybersecurity and risk management

Possess a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) designation, or equivalent experience

Adaptability and ability to manage priorities with attention to detail and work cross-culturally

Strong computer skills in MS applications including MS Visio, strong written and verbal communication skills

Military systems experience is considered an asset

Candidates must be Canadian citizens, be eligible for SECRET security clearance
