What we are looking for:
As the Director, Cyber Security Technology, working closely with the Global CISO, you will play a key role in maturing, expanding and optimizing Fiera Capital’s cyber security technologies and IT risk management capabilities globally, while positioning the organization to be agile and ready to respond to the constantly evolving security landscape. As an empowered representative of the CISO, you will be empowered to contribute to the cyber security strategy, leading the enhancement and delivery of the cyber security and IT risk management plan, as well managing enterprise-wide security programs and technical risk management initiatives.
This role involves extensive liaising with internal team members across all regions as well as external partners, suppliers, and managed service providers in order to promote and enhance security, oversee security operations of our 100% cloud environment, drive cybersecurity risk mitigation through technology controls, and to ensure that cyber threats are managed in a manner which is effective and consistent with the latest industry trends.
Your responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the cybersecurity technology reference architecture in alignment with the overall cybersecurity strategy and evolving security risks;
- Provide oversight and ongoing governance of the security technology stack, collaborating with the technology teams to ensure appropriate security technologies are implemented, and that continuously evolving threats are identified and effectively implemented;
- Design and operate a security assurance program comprising of security assessments of the effectiveness of the existing technology, identifying gaps in security, and researching and evaluating new technologies to enhance the organization's security posture.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive security monitoring program, in collaboration with internal and external partners, to identify, investigate and respond to security incidents and threats;
- Maintain and continually improve the security incident response capability within Fiera to drive consistent incident response, escalation and reporting;
- Manage relationships and ongoing engagement with the security service providers to ensure valued delivery and effective execution of committed security services in accordance with the service level agreements;
- Develop and maintain a threat intelligence program to identify, assess, and respond to emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities;
- Work with IT to define and present metrics and dashboards that effectively communicate Fiera’s security maturity and IT risks;
- Stay on top of technology evolutions, risks on the radar, and changing threat profile and proactively assess and advise the stakeholders about its impact on our environment and corporate risk profile;
- Own and coordinate delivery of approved security initiatives and work with project managers to ensure acceptable delivery of security solutions.
Must have requirements to be successful in this role:
- Undergraduate degree ideally in information security, computer science or related field;
- 10 years of Information Security experience;
- Security certifications such as CISSP/CEH/ CISM/CRISC etc.;
- Solid understanding and demonstrated experience of Microsoft cloud security, Security Service Edge (SSE) and other security technologies– preferably gained within a financial service environment;
- Experience of security operations and monitoring in an outsourced model framework;
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS Top18, ISO 27001/2 etc.;
- Shown success in gaining buy-in from decisions makers and stakeholders across IT and the business;
- A sound decision maker, you can rationalize between difficult choices on technical merit and real risks;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal and collaborative skills;
- Exposure to working with multi-disciplinary and geographically disperse teams;
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment, you have a high tolerance for change;
- Leadership/management experience – preferably in matrix organizational structure.
Fiera adheres to a hybrid work environment with 3 days per week in the office. This position can be based out of our
Toronto or Montreal offices.
