SRC is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst III to participate on a team tasked with providing technical and program support services for tactical software and cyber engineering for expeditionary systems. The tasks will be completed utilizing recurring day-to-day task support on-site in Bedford, IN. This position may require traveling to other facilities outside of their primary area as needed to support the project. Travel is 10-25%.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides database and cyber support; provides assistance with infrastructure and support of OPDIRs for program cyber security
- Assists the Cyber Security Lead and Sr. Systems Analyst in administration and producing documents that are needed to keep systems compliant; includes contacting the FSRs to verify the current status of systems not displayed in the periodic scans
- Practices responsibility and conscientiousness, including proper management of patches to defray warfighter impact while keeping security protocols up-to-date
- Oversees, evaluates, and supports the documentation, validation, and accreditation processes necessary to ensure new and existing IT systems meet the organizations information assurance (IA) and security requirements
- Supports EMSS, VADS, and WATS systems and provide site visits, repairs, re-imaging, training, fielding, and other user assistance as required
- Ensures appropriate treatment of risk, compliance, and monitoring assurance from internal and external perspectives
Minimum Skills & Requirements
- A current USG issued secret security clearance (or interim) is required AND must be maintained. Personnel must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- Four to five (4-5) years’ experience in working with information security or other relevant work experience
- Bachelor Degree from accredited University or CNSSI 4012 or 4013 or 4014 or 4015 or 4016 Certificate or NDU CISO certificate or successful completion of at least one of the following military training courses: NEC 2780 (CIN: A-531-0022) or 2779 (CIN: A-531-0009) or 2781 (CIN: A-531-0045) (or DOD Service equivalent)
- This position requires at a minimum an IAT Level II certification. The IAT level II certification, or the DoD 8570, is a certification for network environment information assurance
- CompTIA Security+, A+ (CE), Network+ (CE), or SSCP Certification is required
- Knowledge of penetration testing, network security, and the techniques used to expose and correct security flaws
- A broad understanding of security technologies including firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus software, and IDPs
Desired Skills & Requirements
- Four to nine (4-9) years cyber security experience
- Experience with Expeditionary Systems
- A CCNA, CAP, Security+ (CE), or ENSA Certification
- Graduate Degree from accredited University or CNSSI 4012 or 4013 or 4014 or 4015 or 4016 Certificate or NDU CIO certificate or successful completion of military training course: NEC 2779 (CIN: A-531-0009) (or DOD Service equivalent)
